Niko 3: Beyond the Northern Lights

A full length movie created by studios from various countries (Anima Vitae, Ulysses, Moetion, A.Film, Rakete). Niko 3: Beyond the Northern Lights follows the journey of young reindeer Niko and his friends.

I was responsible for modeling multiple locations and props as well as rigging assets. My workflow included programs such as Maya, Blender and Houdini. I also created a setup that was used by other modelers and myself to create the ice caves and icy structures in the movie.

My responsibilities were creating proxy models for locations. We worked together with our other studio Anima Point and Gutsy Animations to create the required assets for the episodes.

I modeled, rigged and textured locations and props. This short Christmas movie was based on Mauri Kunnas’ books. It will be shown on television during Christmas in Nordic countries for multiple following years.

Personal Short animations

I have made several short animations using assets that I've created along my journey of becoming a 3D artist. I find the full process of making animations very enjoyable. All the way through creating additional assets to set dressing, lighting and creating fluid/smoke simulations, and finally compositing the footage and color grading it and adding sound effects.
